Pre-teen Acne Treatment for my 10 Year Old | Part 1: Testing COSRX Acne Hero Kit Mild for Combination Skin

From my previous post, I dealt with the pre-teen acne of my 10-year old daughter. I changed her shampoo and bought the most gentle facial cleanser I know. It didn't work. I observed that her skin had changed to combination skin. Her T-zone is oilier so her foreheads had pimples and her nose and chin have whiteheads.

I searched online about what are gentle yet effective products that I can use to help with her acne issues. I am also a user of COSRX products and I am often satisfied and happy with the outcome every time I use their products. I checked if there are available products for her age. However, there were no specific products for her age. I inquired in their official online store via Shopee Philippines about my questions and they were very accommodating.

I specifically asked about their ACNE HERO KIT MILD 4-step because I wanted mild products to fight her acne. I also read reviews of mothers who claimed that the kit was very effective for their kids. When I asked their support about the safety of the products for my daughter, they confirmed the product line is safe for her age. I really appreciate their online chat support from their official store!

Inside the box of ACNE HERO KIT MILD 4-step kit

  1. AC Collection Calming Foam Cleanser
  2. AC Collection Lightweight Soothing Moisturizer
  3. AC Collection Calming Liquid Mild
  4. AC Collection Ultimate Spot Cream

How do you use the products from the ACNE HERO MILD kit?

  1. 1st step is to use the AC Collection Calming Foam Cleanser.  Squeeze a small amount on the hand. Then, create a foam lather then massage on wet skin. Make sure to thoroughly rinse with water. Avoid the eyes! My daughter uses the cleanser 1-2 times day.
  2. 2nd step is to use the AC Collection Calming Liquid Mild. Soak the cotton pads and gently apply the toner to your face. Avoid the eye area. After applying, gently pat the skin to absorb completely the liquid. Once her acne is in control, she is applying the toner every night only.
  3. 3rd step is to apply the AC Collection Lightweight Soothing Moisturizer. Put on a proper amount on your face and gently pat it for better skin absorption. Like the toner, she only uses the moisturizer at night.
  4. 4th step is necessary if there is a skin breakout. The AC Collection Ultimate Spot Cream is very effective when new pimples are coming out. Just squeeze the tube to use and apply the cream on pimples and/or affected areas.

Is the ACNE HERO KIT MILD 4-step kit effective?

I am going to speak for my daughter and her pre-teen acne. IT IS EFFECTIVE. Her skin was dull and had acne breakouts. After a week of using the trial kit, her pimples on the forehead were almost gone. Her skin has become brighter and smoother. When a new pimple comes out, we immediately apply the Ultimate Spot Cream so that it will quickly dry and will not cause irritation.

At first, my daughter said she sometimes felt a stingy sensation on her skin when she used the calming foam cleanser. I think it is expected because of the salicylic acid. I had to remind her to use the cleanser as a foam and do not directly apply the cleanser to her face. The mild calming liquid and soothing moisturizer are both mild and have a cooling and soothing effect to the skin.

I bought the bigger sizes for my daughter after seeing the results. She is now using the four products from COSRX for her skincare routine. Her acne will be part of her growing years, so we are thankful we have found a product to help her fight and control her acne.

Pre-teen Acne: 10 years old Already Have Acne, What is Acne, and Its Treatment

Pre-teen Acne My daughter turned ten this 2020 and she is really growing up fast. I can say that she has reached the puberty stage early. She started her menstruation a few months ago and, with it, she had to deal with acne on her forehead and more whiteheads on her T-zone. I never thought I will deal with this skin problem so soon. She is just still a baby for me! My firstborn and my only daughter.  I am actually more conscious of how here acne is flaring up. Sometimes, she will complain of some pain or itchiness from the bumps but, since she is still a kid at heart, she doesn't care much about how it looks or why there are so many pimples on her head. Pre-teen acne: Pimples and whiteheads on the forehead What is pre-teen acne? Pre-teen or pre-adolescent acne happens when different kinds of bumps start to show up in your kid's skin. It can be whiteheads, blackheads, pimples (the red bumps, and pustules (the bumps with pus). A lot of kids and teens today are experiencing what w...

Mom's Ipon Challenge 2021: The Digital Way | How to Save Money and Earn Interest From It

Digital Way of Ipon Challenge 2021  Ipon challenge is a trending topic at the start of the New Year. I see a lot of posts on how to be successful in doing the challenge, how much to save in an ipon challenge, how effective the ipon challenge is. For me, it is alright to save money for emergencies. However, I see the ipon challenge as a challenge to save money that we can afford to forget and not use for at least a year. So, why not maximize the benefit of saving money? Given the COVID-19 pandemic, there are a lot of banks and mobile apps that allow you to easily handle your flow of money. You can quickly order and buy online, pay bills, and transfer money from one bank account to another. Most transactions are about money flowing out. If you will look closely, you can save more online by keeping your money in your bank account and investing it. If you can save more than Php 60,000 per year for the ipon challenge, then imagine the earning if you will put your cash in a trust fund or...
