- Proverbs 16:3
Bible Verse About Success
Do you have your
favorite success quotes? As I searched and looked for quotes about success, this
passage from the Bible had really captured my interest. What can motivate you
more to push on with your goals and plans in life?
It is true that a
well-thought and well-planned goal is less likely to fail. However, there are
times that things will not go our way. There may be unexpected bumps as we go
on our way to accomplish our dreams. At some point, we may feel that it is
already impossible to become successful.
Parenting Challenge: Change of Plans!
Being a mother of three,
I thought that I failed all my goals in life. For a while, I felt down seeing
how my former classmates were succeeding in their chosen careers and
businesses. Some of my high school classmates
thought I would be a successful doctor. When I was graduating in college, my relatives
thought I should pursue a law degree. Then, here I was stuck in a job with a
salary that was never enough. There was no title next to my name. I worried a
lot about my future and how I could give my kids a good life. However, I
realized it is true that if you seek for God’s will, one day you will embrace
it wholeheartedly. It was not an overnight miracle but a slow process. Each day
I tried to understand and accepted my situation. I chose to look at the bright
side and started to reset my goals. Then, the time finally came that I stopped being
bothered by every details and events of my life. I looked and cherished all the
blessings I have. That is the time I "committed to the Lord all my work
and goals."
I changed my concept of success
When I was younger, I
thought to be successful was to have a big house, a financially rewarding
career, several cars, a good husband, wonderful kids, and traveling.
Then, I accepted that person could not be me today. I had to reset my goals and
align it to my current blessings—my wonderful kids. My life is now about giving
the best for them through God's guidance and grace.
When I finally accepted
that God has a different and better plan for me, I started to rise like the
star I wanted to be. I am the brightest star of my children and I aim to shine
for them until they become their own stars. As I choose the path that God has
prepared for me, I can see that my wishes are finally falling into the right places.
Today, I see that my success is a long and worthy road to travel and that I am
not alone in my journey. I have my kids, family, and friends to remind me of
where I need to go. I already made the biggest decisions in my life that
positively impacted my emotional and mental well-being. Thanks to these humans!
I claim today that my
career will flourish at its own phase. I can still save for our future and my
retirement while giving my kids the life that they deserve. I am on my way to
my own success ---- the path that God has chosen for me. He has also
chosen the right people who will be with me in my journey.
There is no house or car
yet, but I am happy and thankful for the good health and continuous blessings.
My success is my happiness and the happiness of my kids and God has chosen it
for me.
